On the back of my thread about the SRM Indoor Trainer, I was just
wondering if anyone had ever used one of the SRM ergometers. How was
it?

They look like an awesome tool!

Thanks,
Geoff

Geoff,

There was a prior thread on this forum and one on fixed gear fever,
both dealing with the SRM ergometer. The short version was that it
doesn't do anything special that an SRM powermeter on your bike plus a
trainer of your choice wouldn't do. If you wanted the ultimate in
performance in a trainer, use a bike with an SRM crankset and a
Velotron for the most manageable and reproducible resistances.
