I jsut received as a gift a new SRM, amateur version. I've been using
the Ergomo Pro since last March and have been satisfied with it. There
has been lots of conflicting info about the relative merits, accuracy,
and longevity of each. Any advice on which one to keep?

Don:
The SRM Amateur I have is every bit as accurate as the SRM Pro I have -- Leslie and Uli say that the Amateurs of the past few years are very close to the Pro units. You know that SRM is going to be around -- longstanding company, service in Colorado, very durable units for riding here in New England (even though you are in the balmier portion of New England).
Best,
Bill Black

I've owned both and it's a slam dunk. SRM all the way.

SRM. No question. Though I prefer my D/A version, my amateur has served
me well for many years.
